Just a reminder that Friday, September 25th is a regular school day. The calendar was revised at the August 10th Board meeting. Harrisburg School District will continue Comprehensive Distance Learning for the remainder of the week for grades 2-12. Teachers have the option to either work from home or at school. We will continue limited instruction for K-8 students in special programs with teachers Ms. Butler, Ms. Ginder and Ms. Holte. We plan to bring our kindergarten and first grade students back for limited instruction of two hours a day for the remainder of the week. Principal Geddes will communicate her plans for the week of September 21st and beyond as Linn County has clearance to bring K-3rd grade students back for full day in-person learning. If you have any questions, call your school's main office.

Parents of K-3 graders, please have your child let his/her teacher know if they will be eating lunch at school when they arrive each day. We are trying to give our kitchen a lunch count. Remember, breakfast and lunch is free through December.

School is canceled for Monday, September 14 due to hazardous air quality. Distance-learning is canceled as well. All evening events including the board meeting are canceled.

Harrisburg School District will be closed Friday, September 11th due to hazardous air quality, poor visibility and evacuation status of some employees. Comprehensive Distance Learning for grades 2-12 and in person limited instruction for Kindergarteners and first graders will begin on Monday, September 14th. If you need anything please contact your schools main office or the district office.

Due to Hazardous air quality, all Harrisburg schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, September 10th. Distance learning is cancelled as well for Thursday. A call will go out on Thursday evening to let you know the status of school for Friday, September 11th.

HS Families- Canvas is up and running. Please follow these important steps for your students to be able to login to Canvas. 1. Click on the Canvas Login link on the HS website. There is a button on the picture next to the Registar and FamilyID buttons. 2. This brings you to the Canvas login page. Your student needs to click on the Forget Password link. 3. Your student needs to enter their school email address and click on the Reset Password link. It may take up to 30 mins to receive an email from Canvas. 4. Once the email is received your student will be asked to reset their password. Once your student is able to login in to Canvas, they may not be able to see their classes. Canvas is still loading the courses and students.

HS families, we are still experiencing some issues with Canvas and logins for students. We hope to have that resolved soon. Stay tuned for updates. Thank you for your patience.

Harrisburg School District will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday September 9, 2020, because of the air quality and poor visibility. All staff will stay home. The district will send out an update later Wednesday evening with our plans for Thursday, September 10, 2020. Starting Tuesday, Sept 8th, Grab and Go meals are will be available kids ages 0-18, free of charge. Meals will be offered on school days only between 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at the front doors of the cafeteria. Parents are still welcome to pick up meals for their children. If you need to fill out a free and reduced lunch form, please go to www.harrisburg.k12.or.us, choose Explore, scroll down to Parent & Community Resources. The form is in both Spanish and English.

*UPDATED START DATE FOR HIGH SCHOOL* The high school 's first day of school is now Thursday, Sept 10th. There will be school also on Friday, Sept 11th Due to the implementation of our new online platform Canvas, we are still working out the details for students to be able to login to their Canvas account. More details to be coming soon.

Device pick up for 2nd - 4th grade students will be in the elementary bus loop September 1st, 1pm-7pm September 2nd, 9am-3pm
