Harrisburg School District will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday September 9, 2020, because of the air quality and poor visibility. All staff will stay home. The district will send out an update later Wednesday evening with our plans for Thursday, September 10, 2020. Starting Tuesday, Sept 8th, Grab and Go meals are will be available kids ages 0-18, free of charge. Meals will be offered on school days only between 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at the front doors of the cafeteria. Parents are still welcome to pick up meals for their children.
If you need to fill out a free and reduced lunch form, please go to www.harrisburg.k12.or.us, choose Explore, scroll down to Parent & Community Resources. The form is in both Spanish and English.

We have received numerous complaints and inquiries of intended action concerning a recent Facebook post of a Harrisburg School District Employee. As it is a personnel matter and therefore covered by the contract and district policies, I am not at liberty to publicly disclose intended or current actions being taken.
However, I can clearly state the action and attitudes implied by this employee's post do not reflect the core beliefs, values, objectives or standards of the Harrisburg School District or Harrisburg community.
The Harrisburg School District works closely with the Linn County Sheriff Department and we highly value their services to our schools and community. We have the utmost respect and confidence in our law enforcement partners.
