Harrisburg School District will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday September 9, 2020, because of the air quality and poor visibility. All staff will stay home. The district will send out an update later Wednesday evening with our plans for Thursday, September 10, 2020. Starting Tuesday, Sept 8th, Grab and Go meals are will be available kids ages 0-18, free of charge. Meals will be offered on school days only between 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at the front doors of the cafeteria. Parents are still welcome to pick up meals for their children.
If you need to fill out a free and reduced lunch form, please go to www.harrisburg.k12.or.us, choose Explore, scroll down to Parent & Community Resources. The form is in both Spanish and English.

The high school 's first day of school is now Thursday, Sept 10th. There will be school also on Friday, Sept 11th
Due to the implementation of our new online platform Canvas, we are still working out the details for students to be able to login to their Canvas account. More details to be coming soon.

As it is a personnel matter and therefore covered by the contract and district policies, I am not at liberty to publicly disclose intended or current actions being taken.
However, I can clearly state the action and attitudes implied by this employee's post do not reflect the core beliefs, values, objectives or standards of the Harrisburg School District or Harrisburg community.
The Harrisburg School District works closely with the Linn County Sheriff Department and we highly value their services to our schools and community. We have the utmost respect and confidence in our law enforcement partners.
