Dear Parents and Guardians,

On Friday, October 30, 2020 Governor Brown and Oregon Department of Education Director, Colt Gill held a news conference.  They presented changes creating a better pathway for our students to return to in-person learning.  Currently, we have in-person learning under the exception guidance for grades k-3.  Under the new guidance, we can add grades four, five, and six to the elementary exception.  Our plan is to bring these grades back as soon as it is safe to do so.  We will have to use a hybrid model because of social distancing guidelines.  All safety protocols, transportation and other planning must be in place.

Grades 7-12 cannot return for in-person all day instruction until the two week metrics are below 100 cases per 100,000 and the positivity rate for Linn County is 5% or less.  We are planning to use a hybrid in-person learning model for these grades as well.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to bring our students safely back on campus.
