In accordance with Harrisburg School District policy EFA – Local Wellness, the district is conducting its required three-year review of the Local Wellness Plan. As part of this process, we invite parents, students, staff, and community members to participate in the Wellness Advisory Committee.
The Wellness Advisory Committee provides input and feedback on district practices related to student wellness, including nutrition, physical activity, and other school-based wellness initiatives. Committee members help ensure that the district’s wellness goals reflect the needs and perspectives of our school community.
We are seeking individuals who:
Have an interest in student health and wellness
Are familiar with, or connected to, the Harrisburg school community
Value collaboration and constructive feedback
Recognize the importance of supporting healthy lifestyles for students
After reviewing the current Local Wellness Plan, committee members will have the opportunity share suggestions for consideration as part of the district’s review process.
