Superintendent Announcement

On March 21st, the school board voted 5-0 to award a contract to Steven Woods to become the next superintendent of Harrisburg.  A big thank you to everyone who participated in the superintendent search process and provided feedback to the school board to help make this decision possible.

For the past five years Mr. Woods has been the superintendent in Days Creek, Oregon.  Under his watch the district grew in enrollment and funding, and he comes to us highly recommended.  He has been a teacher, technology director, coach, principal, athletic director, and superintendent during the course of his career in Georgia, Texas, California, and Oregon.

Steven is very excited about this opportunity and is looking forward to learning more about the community and our school district in the coming months. He will assume superintendent duties on July 1st, but will also be reaching out to staff and community members this spring in preparation for his new assignment.  Please give him a warm Harrisburg welcome when he arrives.
