Digital Citizenship Reminder:
Harrisburg School District is pleased to have been able to provide take-home mobile devices for students during distance learning. Please remember that this device is intended for school-related activities only. Students are expected to follow the rules set forth in the district’s technology acceptable use policies (https://5il.co/e0qf) and the law when using the system. While the Harrisburg School District actively manages district-issued devices, take-home devices do not restrict internet content while outside the district’s network. Therefore, it is important for parents to monitor their child’s use of technology and reinforce positive digital citizenship practices. Thank you for your support!

Dear Families! What a success our partnered feeding program was! We passed out food for 72 children in 10 minutes and took names for meals for Tuesday. For those of you who have reserved your meals, pick up is between 12pm-1 pm on Tuesday at Harrisburg Christian Church. If you still need meals for kids, please call the elementary school to reserve your meals. 541-995-6544

Harrisburg School Update

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As we work with the Linn County Health Department, we are pleased to announce that we will have k-3 grades back on campus as we were before the pause on Monday, December 7. The buildings are being sanitized thoroughly and our food service staff will be back to work on Monday, December 7. In addition, we plan to continue with our plan of bringing grades 4-6 back for limited instruction. This is for two hours each day with contact in only two different cohorts. Building principals will provide the specific details for each grade sometime this week. We must social distance, wear facemasks, wash our hands frequently and stay home if feeling sick. We will continue to do our part by working closely with our local health authority and following all ODE/OHA protocols. Thank you to everyone for your continued patience and support as we work together to safely bring back our students.
